Kim Jeong Hoon China Filming In Style & Grandeur
Rising rapidly in popularity because of Korean drama Goong, Kim Jeong Hoon sent out a truckload of personal belongings for the filming of TV drama Love Strategy in Mainland China. Apart from a makeup artist and an image stylist travelling together with him, more than a hundred pieces of clothing were even dispatched by air for the purpose of mix and match in dressing, giving a full display of style and grandeur.
Kim Jeong Hoon, Yuan Wen Kang and Chen Zi Han, two chic men and one beautiful gal, together with Ng Man Tat from Hong Kong, make up the strong cast of Love Strategy. The drama plot revolves around Kim Jeong Hoon portraying a distinguished young man, leaving for Mainland China across the oceans in search of his first love, with location filming taking place in both China and Korea.
A hugely popular Kim Jeong Hoon has shown much pomp and grandeur while filming this drama, bringing along his personal makeup artist and dressing stylist from Korea, even sent out more than a hundred pieces of clothing via air to be worn in the drama. In addition, from the director, photography, lightings to the makeup of Love Strategy, Korean staff are employed, hence the production team has to add on a translation group, in an effort to facilitate an unimpeded communication between China actors and Korean filming crew.
Filming Notices in Chinese and Korean versions
The filming schedule notices posted up by the filming staff every day are also written separately as Chinese and Korean versions, likewise, Korean cuisine is specially included in their meals. The actors usually interact among themselves using a combination of English and their body languages. During the time the filming crew shot the drama in Shanghai, the weather was so sweltering hot that some working staff fainted at the filming location due to heatstroke. The director and the lighting crew are very thoughtful too, taking turns to purchase more than a hundred bottled drinks daily for everyone to bring down temperatures and relieve summer heat.

Korean drama Goong’s male lead Kim Jeong Hoon arrived at Shanghai sometime ago to shoot his new drama Love Strategy. As this drama is very particular about the clothes used in filming, he specially brought along his personal makeup artist and image stylist from Korea, as well as sending over more than a hundred pieces of clothing via air to complement the drama plot. However, because of the hot and humid weather in Shanghai, on top of that, they were filming inside a glass building, with temperatures going well beyond 40 degrees, many actors couldn’t adapt to it. For this reason, Kim Jeong Hoon used a folding fan to cool himself from time to time. It is estimated that this drama will shift to Korea for location filming from next month onwards, as well as having a synchronized airing time in China and Korea.
